The Minis are our youngest footballers, between the ages of 4-6 years. As the kids are primarily in a stage of gross motor skill development, we include multiple movement games to help with the growth in coordination and agility. It is an important age of physical literacy.
The primary football focus is the children’s development of dribbling and staying on the ball. We aim to establish confidence with the ball and developing foundational dribbling ability.
The Tiny Tekkers are players from our youngest age groups that have made early leaps in comfort with the ball. They demonstrate strong ability to stay on the ball and move with it purposefully.
The primary focus for this group is to build on dribbling ability. We centre our focus on dribbling with pace, learning to accelerate and decelerate with the ball, change of direction and being creative.
The Rookies are our 7–9-year-olds with an intermediate level of ability or even beginners. It is never too late to start playing football; however, it is important to allow for the right context for these children to find joy in the game and have the chance for improvement.
Here we are very much still focused on nurturing a passion for the game, developing strong foundational skills, including confidence in possession and in dribbling. This space occupies a large majority of the children, and contains different levels within the one stage of development.
The Ballers are highly competent 7-9 year-olds with a strong ability to take players on and solve more complex football problems. They have the understanding of the use of deception and move with the ball with purpose and awareness.
These players are beginning to develop their own football identity as well as forming on-field relationships with multiple teammates.
Come, sample our vibrant environment, and enjoy a free football experience.
